Playing Days at UCLA

Freddie Goss played college basketball at UCLA from 1962 to 1966. He played under a very famous coach named John Wooden, who is in the Basketball Hall of Fame. Freddie was a starting guard on the UCLA team that won the national championship in 1965. Another great player on that team was Gail Goodrich, who was also an All-American.

Coaching Career Begins

After his time as a player, Freddie Goss became a college basketball coach. He coached for many years, helping young athletes develop their skills.

Leading the UC Riverside Highlanders

His first coaching job was at UC Riverside. He coached there for ten years, from 1969 to 1979. During his time at UC Riverside, his teams had a great record of 163 wins and 110 losses. This means they won more games than they lost, showing he was a successful coach for the Highlanders.

Moving to US International University

After UC Riverside, Coach Goss moved to US International University in San Diego. He coached the US International Gulls for six years.
