Fremont Township is home to a few interesting places.
Villages and Stations
- Mayville is a small village. You can find it in the southeast part of the township along M-24.
- Juniata or Juniata Station was once a train station. It was located on the western edge of the township. In 1864, a hotel called Kelley's Tavern opened there. This was the first place for travelers to stay in the area. It's important not to confuse this with Juniata Township, which is a different place nearby.

A Bit of History
A post office called Northgrove used to be in the township. It was located at North Grove and Mertz Roads, which is now M-24. This post office was open from February 21, 1899, until March 15, 1901.
