Fresno is a town and a type of local government area called a municipality in the Tolima region of Colombia. It is about 142 kilometers (88 miles) away from Ibagué, a larger city. A Spanish explorer named Gonzalo Jiménez de Quesada founded Fresno in 1574. In 2018, about 28,920 people lived in the Fresno municipality.
