The Freycinet's frog, also known as the Wallum rocketfrog or simply rocket frog (Litoria freycineti), is a type of frog. It lives in eastern Australia, especially along the east coast and on Fraser Island.

About the Rocket Frog

This amazing frog can grow to be about 4.5 centimeters long. That's about the length of your thumb! Its skin is usually brown and has cool, uneven patterns.

One special thing about this frog is its tadpoles. They are super tough and can even live in warm water.

Where it Lives

The Freycinet's frog can live in many different kinds of places. However, it really likes temporary swamps that are close to the ocean. In Australia, these special swamps are called wallum.

This frog is active during the day. It searches for its food when the sun is out.

Why it's in Danger

Sadly, the Freycinet's frog is in danger. This is because people are building more and more in the areas where these frogs like to live. This means they are losing their homes and places to find food.
