The Friday the 13th Motorcycle Rally is a huge gathering of motorcycle riders. It happens every time the 13th day of a month falls on a Friday. This exciting event takes place in Port Dover, Ontario, Canada. It has been happening since 1981. When the weather is nice, more than 100,000 bikers come to enjoy the day!

How Many People Attend?

This rally is known as one of the biggest single-day motorcycle events in the world. Many people say it's the largest of its kind. Even though some people visit in winter, the biggest crowds come when Friday the 13th happens in the summer.

For example, in August 2010, over 150,000 people attended. In July 2012, estimates showed between 90,000 and 170,000 visitors. It's a very popular event for motorcycle fans!

Trying for a World Record

In 2008, the rally tried to set a Guinness World Record. They wanted to have the largest motorcycle parade ever. More than 10,000 motorcycles were needed to beat the old record. The previous record was set in 2006 by another rally.

The organizers counted over 12,000 motorcycles at Port Dover. However, Guinness said it wasn't a single parade. This was because the motorcycles entered the city from many different places. So, the attempt did not officially break the record.
