Friedrich Ernst Scheller (born November 15, 1791 – died December 21, 1869) was an important German lawyer and politician. He was a member of the Frankfurt Parliament, a special group that tried to unite Germany.

Early Life and Education

Friedrich Scheller was born on November 15, 1791. From 1809 to 1813, he studied law at the University of Göttingen. This means he learned all about laws and how they work. After finishing his studies, he became a lawyer.

A Career in Law

In 1814, just one year after graduating, Scheller became a judge in Aachen. He worked there until 1816. After that, he became the head judge for the courts in Krefeld. His work as a judge and lawyer took him to other cities like Halberstadt, Berlin, and later Frankfurt (Oder).

Joining Politics

Friedrich Scheller also became involved in politics. On May 18, 1848, he was chosen to be a member of the Frankfurt Parliament. This was a very important group that met to try and create a united Germany. He also spent two years as a member of the Preußischer Landtag, which was another important political assembly.

Later Years

Scheller continued his work until 1869, when he decided to retire. He passed away shortly after, at the age of 78.
