Fritchton's Past: A Look at Its History
Fritchton once had its own post office. It was opened in 1893. This office helped people send and receive mail. The post office operated for about 22 years. It finally closed down in 1915. A person named Emil H. Fritch was in charge of the post office. He was known as the postmaster.
A high school was also built in Fritchton. It opened its doors in 1911. This school taught students from first grade all the way to twelfth grade. It served the community for many decades. The school eventually closed in 1967.
