Frontera Hidalgo is a town and a municipality located in the southern part of Mexico. It is found in the state of Chiapas. This area covers about 106.8 square kilometers.

In 2010, the total population of the municipality was 12,665 people. This was an increase from 10,902 people in 2005. The main town, also called Frontera Hidalgo, had a population of 3,519 people in 2010.

Besides the main town, the municipality has 14 other smaller communities. The two largest of these communities in 2010 were:
- Ignacio Zaragoza with 2,464 people
- Texcaltic with 1,743 people
