Fructuoso Orduna y Lafuente (born 1893, died 1973) was a famous Spanish artist. He was born in Roncal, Navarre, on January 23, 1893. He passed away in Madrid on August 28, 1973. Fructuoso Orduna was especially known for his 'urban sculptures,' which are artworks placed in public spaces. He won many awards for his amazing work.

His Artistic Journey

While living in Pamplona, Fructuoso Orduna received help from the Provincial Council. This allowed him to move to Madrid and learn from the famous sculptor, Mariano Benlliure. From 1917 to 1922, he continued his training in Rome. He was supported by a special grant from the same council.

In 1962, he was named a Fellow of Fine Arts in Madrid, where he lived permanently. Years later, he was honored as the beloved Son of Roncal, his hometown.
