Fudge is a yummy chocolate bar made by Cadbury. It's a bar of soft, sweet fudge covered in smooth milk chocolate. You can find Fudge bars in small, bite-sized pieces or in bigger bars. They are still popular in places like the United Kingdom and Ireland. This treat first came out in 1948. It was first called Milk Fudge, but later the name was changed to simply Fudge.
How Fudge Bars Are Made
For many years, Fudge bars were made at the Cadbury factory in Keynsham, England. But in late 2010, the making of Fudge bars moved to a new Cadbury factory. This new factory is located in Skarbimierz, Poland. If you look at the labels on these chocolate bars, they usually say "Made in the EU". This means they are made in the European Union.
Fudge Bar Adverts
In the 1970s, Fudge bars had a famous TV advert. The catchy song, or jingle, for this advert was written by Mike d'Abo. An eight-year-old boy named Clive Griffin sang the jingle. He also sang another well-known jingle for a different chocolate biscuit called Club. The Fudge advert was even shown on a TV show called 'The 100 Greatest TV Ads' in May 2000.
