Fulgencio Coll Bucher was born on July 18, 1948. He is a Spanish general who held a very important job in the Spanish Army. He was the Chief of Staff of the Army. This means he was the top leader of the army.
He took on this role on July 18, 2008. He replaced another general named Carlos Villar. General Coll served in this position until July 27, 2012. After him, Jaime Domínguez Buj became the new Chief of Staff.

Before becoming the top army leader, General Coll had other important commands. From 2004, he was in charge of the Armoured Division No. 1 "Brunete". This division is a large group of soldiers and tanks.
He served in the Spanish Army for many years. His military career lasted from 1966 until 2012. He reached the highest rank, which is General of the Army.

After his military career, Fulgencio Coll Bucher became involved in politics. On December 13, 2018, it was announced that he would lead a political group. This group was a team-up of two conservative parties called Actúa-Vox.
He led this group for the local elections in 2019. These elections were held in his hometown. Local elections decide who will run the city or town.
