G. Marcus Cole is an American expert in law. He is especially known for his work on laws about money problems, like when companies or people need help with debt. He is currently the leader, or Dean, of the Notre Dame Law School. He also teaches law there.

His Education
G. Marcus Cole went to Cornell University. In 1989, he earned a college degree called a Bachelor of Science. He studied applied economics there. Later, in 1993, he earned his law degree, called a Juris Doctor, from Northwestern University.
His Career in Law
After law school, Mr. Cole worked at a law firm in Chicago. He also worked for a judge named Morris S. Arnold. This job helped him learn a lot about how courts work.
In 1997, he started teaching at Stanford Law School. He was a professor there for many years. He also helped students get ready for law school.
In 2019, Mr. Cole became the Dean of the Notre Dame Law School. This means he is in charge of the law school. He also teaches law classes at the University of Notre Dame.
Helping the Community
Mr. Cole has also been involved in many groups outside of teaching. He helped advise a court committee that deals with money problems. He also served on the board of the Central Pacific Region of the Anti-Defamation League. This group works to fight unfair treatment and promote understanding.
He was also on the board of Rocketship Education. This group helps run schools. He also served on the board of trustees for Bellarmine College Preparatory, which is another school.

G. Marcus Cole is a practicing Catholic. He has a son named Claude. Claude plays football for the University of Wyoming.
