María Gabriela de Jesús Isler (born March 21, 1988) is a Venezuelan model and TV host. She is also a former beauty queen who became famous worldwide. She won the titles of Miss Venezuela 2012 and Miss Universe 2013.
She passed her Miss Universe crown to the next winner in early 2015. After her time as Miss Universe, she worked with the Miss Universe Organization for two years. She helped manage their business and international activities.

Early Life and Family
Gabriela Isler was born in Valencia, Venezuela. When she was a child, her family moved to Maracay. Her father, Juan Guillermo Isler, was born in Caracas. His parents came from Switzerland in the 1950s. Gabriela also has some German family roots.
Her mother, Emperatriz Josefina Morales, is from Maracay. Like Gabriela, she studied management and marketing. Gabriela has one older sister, Karen Alejandra. She also has two younger half-siblings, Karl Wilhelm and Jeandra Victoria Nidibeth Isler.
Meaning of Her Name
Her family name, Isler (also spelled Ißler), comes from German. It means "ironmonger," which is someone who sells or works with iron.
Starting to Model
When Gabriela was 14, she started modeling. She did this to help cheer up her mother and grandmother after a family member passed away. One of her first jobs as a teenager was wrapping gifts.

Winning Miss Venezuela and Miss Universe
As Miss Venezuela 2012, Gabriela represented the state of Guárico. She won the national title. Then, she went on to represent Venezuela in the Miss Universe 2013 pageant. This big event took place in Moscow, Russia. Gabriela became the seventh woman from Venezuela to win the Miss Universe crown. During her year as Miss Universe, she traveled a lot. She took part in many charity events and promotional activities.
Work in Media and Charity
Besides her pageant career, Gabriela has worked in television. She hosted the Miss Venezuela 2014 pageant. She has also been a spokesperson for different social campaigns.
Gabriela Isler started her own charity called "Universe of Blessings Fund." This organization helps to educate young people in Venezuela.
Leading the Miss Venezuela Organization
Since April 17, 2018, Gabriela has been an important part of the Miss Venezuela Organization. She joined the Executive Committee with two other former Miss Venezuela winners, Jacqueline Aguilera and Nina Sicilia. This happened after Osmel Sousa, who had led the organization for 38 years, retired. Gabriela Isler is now the Director of Public Relations and Training for Miss Venezuela. She helps lead the pageant.
Personal Life
On August 20, 2011, Gabriela started a relationship with businessman Alberto Daniel Figueroa. On June 13, 2017, she shared that they got engaged in March of that year. This happened during a trip to the Los Roques Archipelago for her 29th birthday.
On March 23, 2018, Gabriela and Alberto got married in Pampatar, Margarita Island. On March 21, 2021, which was her 33rd birthday, she announced she was expecting her first child. On April 19, she shared that it would be a boy. On October 10, she announced that her son, Joaquín, was born on October 1 in Valencia, Venezuela. On February 9, 2025, she announced she was pregnant again. On February 16, she shared that she was expecting a girl.
