Early Life and Education

Gaelyn Mendonca was born in Bombay (now Mumbai), India. She grew up in a place called Orlem. She went to Carmel of St. Joseph School. Later, she studied economics and sociology at St. Xavier's College. While in college, she was very good at street dance. She won street dance competitions at Malhar for five years in a row!

Career

Starting as a Model and VJ

Gaelyn began her career as a model while she was still in college. She walked the runway for many big fashion events, including Lakme Fashion Week. After finishing college, she started working in television. Her first job was as an anchor for a show called Cool Quotient on the Good Times channel.

In 2013, Gaelyn won the MTV VJ Hunt. This competition helped her become a VJ for MTV India. In the same year, she also made her first appearance in a Bollywood movie called Nautanki Saala!. As a VJ, she has hosted many different programs. She even helped cover the 2011 Cricket World Cup. In 2016, she started hosting MTV Roadies and the reality rap show MTV Hustle.
