Gagamachay (also spelled Qaqa Mach'ay) is a tall mountain in the Andes mountain range. It is located in Peru, a country in South America. This mountain reaches a height of about 4,400 meters (14,436 feet) above sea level.

The name Gagamachay comes from the Quechua language. In Quechua, qaqa means "rock" and mach'ay means "cave." So, Gagamachay means "rock cave."

Where is Gagamachay?

Gagamachay is found in two different regions of Peru. It is partly in the Ancash Region, specifically in the Huari Province. Here, it sits on the border between the districts of Anra and Huacachi. The mountain is also partly in the Huánuco Region, in the Huamalíes Province, within the Singa District.
