Gaius Charles, born on May 2, 1983, is an American actor. He is famous for his role as Brian "Smash" Williams in the TV drama Friday Night Lights. He also played Dr. Shane Ross on the medical drama Grey's Anatomy. You might have seen him in the show Aquarius, where he played a historical leader named Bunchy Carter. He also appeared in NCIS as an arson investigator.

Gaius Charles was born in Manhattan, New York, on May 2, 1983. He grew up in New York City and Teaneck, New Jersey.

He finished high school at Teaneck High School in 2001. After that, he went to Carnegie Mellon University's College of Fine Arts. There, he earned a special degree in drama called a Bachelor of Fine Arts. He also studied acting in Sydney, Australia, at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA). Later, he earned a Master of Arts degree in Religious Studies from Drew University.

Gaius Charles has been in many TV shows and movies. In 2017, he starred in the first season of the NBC show Taken. This show was based on the popular Taken movie series.

His most well-known roles include Friday Night Lights, Grey's Anatomy, and Aquarius. In Aquarius, he played Bunchy Carter, a real-life civil rights activist. He also appeared in Necessary Roughness.

Gaius has made guest appearances on other popular shows. These include Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Blindspot. ..... Other shows he's been on are NCIS, Pan Am, and Law & Order: SVU.
