A Historic Home for Art
The museum is located inside a beautiful old building. It used to be the Saint Aquinas monastery. This monastery was built by the Dominican Order, a group of religious people. Next to it is the San José Church. Both the monastery and the church are some of the very first important buildings ever made in Puerto Rico. They show how people built things a long time ago.
