The Garda Museum (which in Irish is called Músaem an Gharda Síochána) is a cool museum about police history. You can find it in Dublin, Ireland, right inside the old Dublin Castle. Specifically, it's in the Treasury Building there.
This museum first opened its doors in August 2017. It was designed by Dara Lynne Lenehan. The museum shows how law enforcement has worked in the Republic of Ireland throughout history. It covers everything from medieval watchmen to today's Garda Síochána.

Tracing Law Enforcement Through Time
The museum explains how policing changed over the years. You can discover the County Constabulary and the Dublin Metropolitan Police. It also covers the Royal Irish Constabulary. Finally, it tells the story of the Garda Síochána, which was first known as the Civic Guard.
When the Museum Opened
The museum was officially opened in December 2016 by Commissioner Nóirín O'Sullivan. However, due to some legal issues, the public couldn't visit until August 2017. Before this new museum, there was an older one. That one was located in the Record Tower of Dublin Castle.
