Gary Joseph Garland Houston (born October 12, 1957) is an American musician and a former professional basketball player. He is also known as the half-brother of the famous singer Whitney Houston.

Gary Garland played professional basketball for the Denver Nuggets. This team is part of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The NBA is the top basketball league in North America. He played for one season with the Nuggets, during 1979–1980.
Gary's Family Connections
Gary Garland has a famous family. His half-sister was the legendary singer Whitney Houston. He also has another half-brother named Michael Houston. All three are children of the singer Cissy Houston.
Gary is also a cousin to singers Dionne Warwick and Dee Dee Warwick. He is the uncle of Bobbi Kristina Brown, who was Whitney Houston's daughter.
