Geoff Jansz is a well-known chef and television presenter from Australia. He was born in Sri Lanka in 1958. He is famous for sharing his cooking skills on TV shows.
Geoff Jansz's Career
Geoff Jansz first studied at the University of Sydney. He earned a degree to become a pharmacist in 1984. A pharmacist is someone who prepares and gives out medicines. After working as a pharmacist, he decided to follow his passion for food. He opened his own restaurant in Picton, New South Wales.
Television Appearances
Geoff Jansz started his television journey in 1992. His first TV role was as a food presenter on a show called EveryBody. This show was on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) channel. It was one of the first shows about lifestyle topics.
Later in 1992, Geoff got a big role on the Nine Network. He became a presenter on the cooking show What's Cooking. He hosted this popular show from 1993 until it finished in 1999.
In 1995, he also joined another famous show, Burke's Backyard. He first appeared as a guest. Then, he became a regular presenter, sharing cooking tips every week until the show ended in 2004. Geoff also hosted a daytime cooking show called Fresh with the Australian Women's Weekly.

Besides TV, Geoff Jansz also shared his recipes in writing. He wrote for the Australian Gourmet Traveller magazine from 1987 to 1992. He has written three cookbooks:
