It was located near the city of Orléans, and Château-Landon was its main town. Around 1035, Geoffrey married Ermengarde-Blanche of Anjou. She was the daughter of a powerful ruler named Fulk III Nerra. Geoffrey and Ermengarde-Blanche had children who became ancestors of a famous royal family called the House of Plantagenet. This family later ruled England. Geoffrey passed away sometime between 1043 and 1046. After his death, Ermengarde-Blanche married Robert I, Duke of Burgundy.
