Georges Mukumbilwa (born September 23, 1999) is a professional soccer player. He plays as a right-back for Canadian Premier League team Pacific FC. Georges was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He has also played for Canada's national youth team.

Georges' Early Life Journey

Georges Mukumbilwa was born in Kalima, in the Democratic Republic of Congo. When he was young, his family had to leave their home because of a civil war. They lived in a refugee camp in Rwanda for a while.

At age 13, Georges and his family moved to Winnipeg, Canada. This is where he started playing organized soccer. He joined a local team called Portage Trail SC. He quickly showed his talent and joined the Manitoba provincial team for players under 15.

In 2014, Georges joined the Vancouver Whitecaps FC Academy. This is a special program for young, talented soccer players. He even played for the Vancouver Whitecaps FC U-23 team. In 2016, he was called up to the Whitecaps FC 2 squad, which is a professional team, but he did not play in that match.

Playing for Professional Clubs

Starting with Vancouver Whitecaps FC

In August 2019, Georges signed a professional contract with Major League Soccer club Vancouver Whitecaps FC. He was signed as a "homegrown player." This means he came up through their youth academy. He had already trained with the team earlier that year.

On October 6, 2019, Georges played his first game in Major League Soccer. He came into the game as a substitute in the 80th minute. The Whitecaps lost that game 1–0 to Real Salt Lake.

In 2020, Georges did not play in any matches. This was because of travel issues during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of the Whitecaps' games were played in the United States. Georges had visa problems that stopped him from traveling there.

The Vancouver Whitecaps released Georges from his contract on November 30, 2020. The team's CEO, Axel Schuster, said that Georges was a hard-working player. He also said it was time for Georges to find a new team where he could play more often. In 2021, he tried out for another Canadian team, Valour FC.

Joining Pacific FC

In March 2022, Georges signed with Canadian Premier League team Pacific FC. He had tried out with them during their preseason training. In his first season with Pacific FC, he helped the team reach the playoffs.

In September 2023, Georges signed a new contract with Pacific FC. This contract kept him with the team through the 2024 season. The club also had an option to keep him for 2025. After the 2024 season, Pacific FC decided to keep him, picking up his option for 2025.

Playing for Canada

In 2016, Georges was chosen to play for the Canada U18 team. This was an important step in his international soccer career.
