Gert and Hermien facts for kids
Gert and Hermien (Dutch: Gert en Hermien) were a musical duo from the Province of Overijssel in the Netherlands, consisting of Gert Timmerman (died 2017) and his wife Hermien Timmerman-van der Weide (died 2003).
They were singing from the 1960s to the early 1990s.
Their most well-known song was "Shalalie shalala".
After their conversion to Christianity in 1974, they only did religious singing for several years.
