Ghasem Haddadifar (born July 12, 1983) is a famous Iranian former footballer and a current coach. He played as a midfielder. Ghasem was also a member of the Iranian national team. He even represented Iran at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, which is a huge achievement for any player!
In 2015, Haddadifar was named the best Iranian footballer for the 2014–15 season. This was for his amazing performance in the Persian Gulf Pro League, Iran's top football league, while playing for Zob Ahan.

Club Career Highlights
Starting with Zob Ahan
Ghasem Haddadifar joined Zob Ahan in 2003. Before that, he spent seven years playing in the club's youth teams. He made his first team debut in the 2003–04 season. In his first year, he played nine games and scored one goal. The next year, he mostly came on as a substitute. Zob Ahan finished second in the league that season.
Gaining Experience on Loan
To get more playing time, Haddadifar was loaned to Sanat Naft in 2005. This team played in the Azadegan League, which is Iran's second-highest league. Ghasem played a big part in Sanat Naft's successful season. He scored two goals and helped the club finish third.
Returning to Zob Ahan and Big Success
After his loan, Haddadifar returned to Zob Ahan in 2006. He quickly became a key player for the team. In the 2008–09 season, Ghasem was one of Zob Ahan's best players. He scored six goals and helped Zob Ahan finish second in the league again. He also scored two goals in the Hazfi Cup final, helping Zob Ahan win the cup 5–2 against Rah Ahan.
The next season, Haddadifar continued his success with Zob Ahan. They finished second in the league once more. That same season, Ghasem helped Zob Ahan reach the final of the AFC Champions League. This is Asia's biggest club competition. Zob Ahan became only the second Iranian club to reach this final. However, they lost to Seongnam FC from South Korea.
Loan to Tractor and Later Years
Haddadifar faced some injuries in the 2011–12 season. Because of this, he was loaned to Tractor for the second half of the season. He helped Tractor finish second in the league. This earned Tractor a spot in the AFC Champions League for the first time ever.
After returning to Zob Ahan, the team had a tough time. In the 2012–13 season, they almost got relegated. But they managed to stay in the top league after winning a play-off match. The 2013–14 season was also difficult. Zob Ahan avoided relegation by a very small margin.
Revival and Player of the Year
Things changed for Zob Ahan and Haddadifar when Yahya Golmohammadi became the manager. Haddadifar had an amazing season in 2014–15. He helped the club win the Hazfi Cup again. They also finished fourth in the league, which meant they qualified for the Champions League after six years. Haddadifar's great performances were noticed. He was named to the Persian Gulf Pro League Team of the Year. He also won the award for the 2014–15 Persian Gulf Pro League Player of the Year.
International Career
In 2010, Ghasem Haddadifar played his first game for the Iranian national team. This was a friendly match against Armenia. On June 1, 2014, he was chosen by coach Carlos Queiroz to be part of Iran's squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Personal Life
Ghasem Haddadifar's father worked for the Zob Ahan Isfahan Steel Company. Ghasem was born in the Zob Ahan Hospital. His brother, Alireza, is also a footballer. They even played on the same team at one point!
