Giampaolo Menichelli, born on June 29, 1938, is a former Italian football player. He was known for playing as a winger. Giampaolo was a quick and agile winger. He had great technical skills with the ball. He was also known for being a good team player. He could score goals too. His brother, Franco Menichelli, was an Olympic champion in gymnastics.

Giampaolo Menichelli's Club Career
Giampaolo Menichelli played football for 12 seasons. He played in 261 games and scored 60 goals. He played in Italy's top league, Serie A. His teams included A.S. Roma, A.C. Parma, Juventus FC, Brescia Calcio, and Cagliari Calcio.
Playing for Roma
While playing for A.S. Roma, he worked well with another winger, Alberto Orlando. Together, they helped Roma win the 1960–61 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup. This was a big European competition at the time.
Time at Juventus
Menichelli joined Juventus FC and had a very successful time there. In the 1964–65 season, he helped Juventus win the Coppa Italia. This was a major Italian cup competition. He was the top scorer in that tournament, scoring 3 goals.
That same season, Juventus also reached the final of the 1964–65 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup. However, they lost 1–0 to Ferencváros TC in Turin. During his six seasons with Juventus, he also won the 1966–67 Serie A title. He scored an impressive 11 goals in 33 games that season.
Giampaolo Menichelli's International Career
Menichelli also played for the Italy national football team in the 1960s. He played in 9 games for Italy between 1962 and 1964. He scored one goal for Italy. This goal came in a 3–1 win against Belgium on May 13, 1962.
He also played for Italy in the 1962 FIFA World Cup. He played in two matches during the tournament. These games were against Germany and Chile. Italy was unfortunately knocked out in the group stage of the competition.
