Gibbon's Cave is a fascinating cave located in Gibraltar. Gibraltar is a special place, known as a British Overseas Territory. This means it is a territory that belongs to the United Kingdom, but it is not part of the UK itself. It's a bit like a special overseas region.
Gibbon's Cave is found at the southern end of the Upper Rock Nature Reserve. This reserve is a protected area on the Rock of Gibraltar, famous for its amazing views and wildlife, including the Barbary macaques (monkeys).
Location of Gibbon's Cave
Gibbon's Cave is situated in a group of caves. It lies just to the west of three other caves: Tina's Fissure, George's Bottom Cave, and Levant Cave. These caves are all quite close to each other.
The Levant Cave Series
The caves in this area are sometimes grouped together. The "Levant series of caves" includes Gibbon's Cave itself. It also features Levant Cave and George's Bottom Cave. This shows how these natural formations are connected underground.
