Gillian MacLaren Jacobs (born October 19, 1982) is an American actress. She is well-known for her roles in popular TV shows like Community, where she played Britta Perry from 2009 to 2015. She also starred as Mickey Dobbs in the Netflix series Love (2016–2018) and Mary Jayne Gold in the Netflix miniseries Transatlantic (2023).
Gillian has also appeared in other TV series such as Girls (2015), Invincible (2021–present) as Atom Eve, and The Bear (2023–present). Her film roles include Don't Think Twice (2016), Ibiza (2018), I Used to Go Here (2020), and the Fear Street movie series (2021).

Early Life and Education
Gillian MacLaren Jacobs was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on October 19, 1982. She was the only child of Martina Magenau and William Francis Jacobs Jr.
Gillian started acting classes when she was just four years old. As she grew up, she attended weekend acting classes at the Pittsburgh Playhouse. She also performed with the Pittsburgh Public Theater. One of her notable early roles was playing Titania in a production of A Midsummer Night's Dream.
After finishing high school at Mt. Lebanon High School in 2000, she moved to New York City. She attended the Juilliard School, a famous performing arts school, and earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2004.

Gillian Jacobs began her acting career with roles in television series like The Book of Daniel. She also made guest appearances on shows such as Fringe and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
