Gilmer McCormick is an American actress and singer. She is best known for her roles in the musical Godspell in the early 1970s. She also played Sister Margaret in the horror movie Silent Night, Deadly Night in 1984.

Gilmer McCormick was born in Louisville, Kentucky. She went to Moravian Academy in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She finished school there in 1965. After that, she studied at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. She graduated from college in 1969.

Gilmer McCormick's Acting Career

Gilmer McCormick started acting in movies in 1972. Her first films were Squares and Slaughterhouse-Five. Soon after, she joined the cast of the musical film Godspell in 1973. This movie was based on a popular stage musical.

In the stage version of Godspell, Gilmer sang a solo song called "Learn Your Lessons Well". This song was not included in the movie. However, you can still hear her singing it on the original off-Broadway cast recording.

Later, Gilmer McCormick appeared in other films. These included the comedy Starting Over in 1979. This movie starred Burt Reynolds. She also acted in the television film The Burning Bed in 1984. In this film, she worked alongside Farrah Fawcett.

Gilmer McCormick also acted in several television shows. She appeared in an episode of NET Playhouse in 1970. She was also in The Adams Chronicles in 1976. In 1981, she had a role in the popular police drama Hill Street Blues. Her last known role was in the TV show I Had Three Wives in 1985.
