Gimme! Coffee is a company that roasts (prepares) coffee beans and runs coffee shops. It is known as a "third-wave" coffee shop, which means it focuses on high-quality coffee, how it's grown, and how it's made. The company is based in New York, US.
Gimme! Coffee has espresso bars (coffee shops) in Ithaca and Trumansburg. During the COVID-19 in 2020, Gimme! closed its locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn. They then started a coffee delivery service in the Ithaca area.
Gimme! Coffee also offers a wholesale service. This means they sell their coffee beans to other coffee shops and businesses. In January 2020, Colleen Anunu became the new CEO, taking over from founder Kevin Cuddeback. Anunu helped change the company into a worker-owned cooperative. This means the employees own and help run the business together. Gimme! Coffee says it builds good relationships with the farmers who grow their coffee. They often pay these farmers a special price, which helps the farmers improve their farms.
