Ginestar is a charming village in Catalonia, Spain. It is located in the Ribera d'Ebre region, which is part of the Tarragona province. About 760 people live in Ginestar.
This traditional village still keeps many old customs alive. Its streets, both wide and narrow, are lined with classic Catalan houses.

Ginestar is very close to the Ebro River. This makes it a popular spot for people who love to fish. Anglers, or fishermen, come from all over Europe to enjoy the river here.
The area around Ginestar is also rich in history. There are many important archaeological sites nearby. One famous site is called the Barranc de Gàfols.

Ginestar loves to celebrate! There are several festivals, called fiestas, throughout the year. These usually start in April and continue until November. The biggest celebration is in November for the village's patron saint, Sant Martí.
