GingerMan Raceway is a special track for road racing in Southwest Michigan, United States. It's located close to the town of South Haven.
The track was built in 1995. It opened for its first full season of racing in 1996. Many different vehicles race here, including sports cars and motorcycles. Since 2014, a big event called the Gridlife festival has been held at GingerMan Raceway.
About the Track
GingerMan Raceway is known for being a very safe track. Victory Lane Magazine even gave it a "Safe Track Award." The track was designed by an architect named Alan Wilson. He made it especially for club racing.
Designed for Safety
The track has clear runoff areas. These are safe zones where cars can go if they leave the track. It also has wide, smooth paving. This helps prevent expensive damage to vehicles. It's especially good for drivers who are just starting out.
The track is about 2.21 mi (3.56 km) long. It was updated between 2009 and 2010. A part of Turn 10 was made longer, adding more pavement. This made the track even safer. The safety areas are set up so races can even run in the opposite direction.
Watching the Races
Spectators can watch the races from many different spots around the track. Experienced racers and people who enjoy track days often say that GingerMan is one of the safest road race tracks in the area.
