What Makes GingerMan Raceway Special?
GingerMan Raceway is known for being a very safe track. It even won the Safe Track Award from Victory Lane Magazine.
Designed for Safety
The track was designed by a famous architect named Alan Wilson. He made it especially for club racing. This means it's great for both new and experienced drivers.
The design includes clear runoff areas and wide, smooth paving. This helps prevent expensive damage to vehicles, which is super important for drivers learning the ropes.
Track Updates and Features
The main road course is about 1.88 mi (3.03 km) long and focuses on driver safety. In 2009 and 2010, the track got an update. They added more pavement to Turn 10, making it Turn 10A.
This addition made the track longer, now 2.21 miles. The safety areas were also set up so races could run in different directions. Spectators can watch the action from many spots around the track.
Experienced racers and people who enjoy track days often say GingerMan is one of the safest road race tracks in the area.
