Unlike many observatories that use a big dome, The Space Place lets you observe the stars and planets directly under the natural night sky, which they call being 'dome free'.

If you have your own telescope but aren't sure how to use it, The Space Place can help! They have special "B.Y.O. Telescope" nights. On these nights, astronomers teach you how to set up and use your own equipment to explore the cosmos.
