Glen, Nebraska facts for kids
Glen is a small, quiet place in Sioux County, Nebraska, United States. It's called an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and people that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government. Glen got its name from the beautiful glens, or narrow valleys, found nearby.
A Look Back: The History of Glen
Imagine a time when letters were the main way to talk to people far away! Glen had its own post office, which opened in 1887. This was a really important place for the community. People would send and receive mail there, connecting them to the rest of the world. The post office served the residents of Glen for many years, finally closing its doors in 1953. Even though the post office is gone, a few people still call Glen their home today.
