Starting in Broadcasting

In the late 1980s, Glen moved to the Bay Area. He earned a bachelor's degree in broadcasting from San Francisco State University. This helped him start his career in sports announcing.

He first appeared on TV broadcasts for the Oakland Athletics in 2004. For his first two years, he was a reporter on the field. He also filled in as an announcer sometimes. In 2006, he became the main announcer for the team.

Glen also announced some A's games that were shown nationally on Fox. From 1996 to 2000, he hosted shows called Giants Lite and A's Lite. These shows were on SportsChannel Pacific and later FSN Bay Area. They were short highlight shows that summarized games.
