Glendale is a small community located in Monroe County, Wisconsin, in the United States. It's known as an unincorporated community. This means it doesn't have its own separate local government, like a city or a village. Instead, it's part of the larger Town of Glendale.
History
The community of Glendale has an interesting past. A place for sending and receiving mail, called a post office, was first set up in Glendale in 1856. This post office helped people send letters and packages for many years. It stayed open until 1926, when it was finally closed down. The name "Glendale" was chosen by one of the early settlers who came to live here. They picked the name from a book they had enjoyed reading.
