Glengettie's History and Ownership

In November 2016, Glengettie started radio advertisements. These ads featured Di Botcher, an actress from the TV show Stella. The show Stella is set in South Wales.

The Glengettie brand is owned by Typhoo Tea Limited. Until 2021, Typhoo was part of a large Indian company called the Apeejay Surrendra Group. In 2021, a British company called Zetland Capital bought Typhoo. In March 2023, Typhoo announced that it was closing its factory in Moreton. This meant that all of its tea brands, including Glengettie, would be made by other companies.
