History of Gnarly Barley
Gnarly Barley started with friends making beer at home. Their homemade beers were first shown at a big festival in New Orleans in 2011. People really liked their Korova Milk Porter and Hoppopotamus IPA beers!
In 2014, the Gnarly Barley Brewing Company officially opened. They built a large 14,000 square foot building in Hammond, Louisiana. This allowed them to make much more beer. In 2017 and 2018, a group called the Brewers Association recognized Gnarly Barley. They said it was one of the 50 fastest-growing breweries in the United States.
The brewery uses special equipment to make its beer. This includes large tanks and vessels. They have a system that helps them brew many batches of beer.
Gnarly Barley beer is shared in many parts of southern Louisiana. You can find their beers in the New Orleans area. They also send beer to the Northshore area and around Baton Rouge. Other areas include Lafayette and the Houma region.
