A Look at Its Past
Gobarralong has a bit of history, especially when it comes to its post office.
The Post Office Story
A post office first opened in this area on November 1, 1876. Back then, it was known as the North Gobarralong Post Office.
Later, in 1909, its name was changed to simply Gobarralong. This post office served the community for many years. However, it eventually closed its doors in 1967.
