Goichi Ishitani (石谷 吾一, Ishitani Goichi, born July 6, 1979) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a forward, which means he was one of the players whose main job was to score goals for his team.
Goichi Ishitani's Football Journey
Goichi Ishitani was born in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan, on July 6, 1979. He loved football from a young age. After finishing high school, he joined a professional team called Sagan Tosu in the year 2000. This team played in the J2 League, which is one of Japan's top football leagues.
During his first year with Sagan Tosu, Goichi played in a few matches as a forward. He was hoping to score goals for his team. However, in 2001, he didn't get to play as much.
In 2002, Goichi moved to a different team called Alouette Kumamoto. This team played in the Japan Football League. He played six matches for them that year. At the end of the 2002 season, Goichi decided to retire from playing professional football. Throughout his career, he played a total of 18 league matches.
