Gomezserracín is a small town in the province of Segovia, located in the region of Castile and León in Spain. It covers an area of about 30 square kilometers. A main road, the A-601 (also known as the highway of Pinares), passes through the town. In 2017, about 699 people lived there.

How the Town Got Its Name

Gomezserracín was founded a long time ago, in the 13th century. It was named after a nobleman called Gomez Sarracin. He was an important person in the area. His son, Fernando Sarracin, later became a bishop in the city of Segovia.
