Goupillières was once a small town or local area in northwestern France. It was located in the Calvados department, which is like a county, within the Normandy region, a larger area of France.
On January 1, 2019, Goupillières joined with another town to become part of a new, larger commune called Montillières-sur-Orne. This means it's no longer a separate commune on its own.
Goupillières was known for being part of a beautiful area called Suisse Normande. This region is famous for its green hills, valleys, and rivers, which look a bit like the landscapes in Switzerland.
