A Glimpse into History
One of the villages, Iacobești, has an interesting past. For a long time, from 1776 to 1941, it was home to a group of people called the Székelys of Bukovina. These were Hungarian-speaking people who had moved to the area and created their own communities. Their presence adds to the rich history and culture of Grănicești.
