Grace Fern Berlin (born March 3, 1897 – died August 29, 1982) was an amazing American scientist and historian. She was an ecologist, which means she studied how living things interact with their environment. She was also an ornithologist, someone who studies birds. Grace Berlin was one of the first women in Ohio to earn a college degree in ecology. She was born Grace Fern Cowling in Monclova, Ohio. She went to Oberlin College and graduated in 1923. Later, she married Herbert Berlin. Grace was very involved in many nature and history groups. She was even honored by being added to the Ohio Women's Hall of Fame in 1980. She passed away at the age of 85.
