Grace was born in a part of London called Bermondsey. She never got married. She was engaged to a man named Albert Rees. Sadly, Albert was killed during World War I when he was only nineteen years old.

Grace Jones became the oldest living person in the UK on February 29, 2012. She held this title until her death in November 2013. At that time, she was also the sixth-oldest living person in the entire world.
Her Legacy
Grace Jones passed away on November 14, 2013. This happened at St Thomas' Hospital in London. Her death was confirmed by a local politician, MP Simon Hughes. After Grace Jones died, Ethel Lang became the oldest living person in the UK.
