Graham Mackay (born July 26, 1949 – died December 18, 2013) was an important businessman from South Africa. He was known for leading SABMiller, a very large company that makes drinks. SABMiller was one of the biggest drink companies in the world. Graham Mackay was the main boss, called the Chief Executive, and later the Chairman of this company. He was followed by Alan Clark in 2013.

Early Life and Education
Graham Mackay was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1949. His parents were Gavin and Mary Mackay.
He went to school at St Andrew's College in Grahamstown. Later, he studied at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. He earned degrees in both Engineering and Commerce.
His Career in Business
Graham Mackay started working at South African Breweries in 1978. This company later became SABMiller.
He became the group managing director in 1997. In 1999, when South African Breweries became a public company in London, he became its Chief Executive. This means he was the top leader of the company.
He helped SABMiller grow into one of the world's largest drink companies. He also served on the boards of other big companies, like Reckitt Benckiser and Philip Morris International.
Personal Life and Family
Graham Mackay had six sons. He had three sons with each of his two wives.
He passed away on December 18, 2013, at his home in Hampshire, England. He had been ill and had surgery earlier that year.
