The Story of Grandpa's Great Escape
The book Grandpa's Great Escape takes place in London during the 1980s. It tells the story of Grandpa, who was once a hero. He was a "flying ace" in World War II, meaning he was a very skilled pilot.
Sadly, Grandpa is now quite confused. He still believes World War II is happening. He often dreams of flying his old plane again.
Moving to Twilight Towers
When Grandpa's family finds it hard to look after him, he moves. He goes to an old people's home called Twilight Towers. This home is managed by a woman named Miss Swine.
Soon, Jack realizes something is wrong. Miss Swine seems to be running Twilight Towers for her own benefit. She doesn't truly care for the people there.
A Daring Plan
It's up to Grandpa and his grandson, Jack, to act. Jack is the only one who truly understands Grandpa's thoughts. Together, they plan a very daring escape.
Grandpa gets one last chance to live his dream. He flies again in his beloved Spitfire plane. It's an adventure you won't forget!
