Graysville is a small place in eastern Putnam County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is called an "unincorporated community." This means it does not have its own local government, like a city or town does. Instead, it is part of the larger county.

You can find Graysville along Missouri Route 149. It is about eleven miles east of a town called Unionville.
How Graysville Started
Graysville got its name from a person named Mr. Gray. He was important because he helped get a post office for the community. The post office opened in 1875. It stayed open for many years but closed down in 1906.
