Greco Pizza Restaurant is a popular franchise restaurant chain in Eastern Canada. It has more than 100 restaurants! They are known for delivering tasty pizza right to your door. Greco Pizza is actually the biggest pizza chain in Atlantic Canada.
The Story of Greco Pizza
Greco Pizza started a long time ago, in 1977. The very first restaurant opened in Moncton, New Brunswick. It was first called "Greco Donair...and Pizza."
A few years later, in 1981, a company called Grinner's Food Systems bought the rights to Greco Pizza. This company is based in Truro, Nova Scotia. When a company buys "franchise rights," it means they can help other people open new Greco Pizza restaurants.
Greco Express and More
You might see some smaller Greco Pizza places called "Greco Express." These are often found inside other businesses. For example, they might be in a convenience store or a motel. This makes it easy for people to grab a quick bite!
Sometimes, a Greco Pizza restaurant is even connected to a "Captain Submarine" restaurant. Captain Submarine is another food chain owned by Grinner's Food Systems. So, you could get pizza and a sub in one stop!
How Greco Pizza Advertises
Since 1995, Greco Pizza has used a special phone number to advertise: 310-30-30. They even have a catchy jingle (a short song) to help people remember it!
For a while, the jingle said "three one oh, three oh, three oh." Later, it changed to "three ten, thirty thirty." This helps everyone remember how to call for their pizza!
