Green Valley is a community in southern Frederick County, Maryland, United States. It is not a city or town with its own government. Instead, it is called an "unincorporated area."
It is also known as a "census-designated place" (CDP). This means the United States Census Bureau defines it for counting people. In 2020, about 12,643 people lived there. Green Valley was first named a CDP in 2000. After not being listed in 2010, it became a CDP again for the 2020 census.
