Greenbrier is a community located in the city of Chesapeake, Virginia, in the United States. Chesapeake is an independent city, meaning it is not part of a larger county. Greenbrier is divided into two main areas: Greenbrier East and Greenbrier West.
A very important road in Greenbrier is Greenbrier Parkway. This road is a major center for shopping and businesses in Chesapeake. You'll find many shopping centers along this road, including the Greenbrier Mall. Another important road, Volvo Parkway, crosses Greenbrier Parkway. Volvo Parkway leads to more neighborhoods where people live, as well as another shopping area.
A long time ago, in 1620, a girl named Elizabeth Rolfe was born here. Her father was John Rolfe, an English colonist. Elizabeth later married John Milner of Nansemond. She passed away in 1635.
